A New Venture with VTA: Bridging Design and Daily Commute
Post-Samsung, I found a surprising yet fitting opportunity with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). They sought a designer to craft an app streamlining public transportation – a stark contrast to the corporate world I had just left.
The VTA project was not just a job but a mission to make a tangible difference in the daily lives of commuters. The app's design demanded intuitiveness, efficiency, and a user-centric approach, embodying the core of user experience and interface design. It was about simplifying the complex public transit network and enhancing accessibility for its diverse user base.
This venture was a grounding experience, emphasizing the true purpose of design: solving real-world challenges and enhancing daily experiences. My journey with VTA reinforced the impact and reach of UX/UI design, merging aesthetics and functionality to serve the community.

An Unexpected Call
Shortly after my work with VTA, a distressed call from a recruitment firm beckoned me to an urgent meeting in San Francisco. Intrigued and driven by curiosity, I agreed to the mysterious appointment.
A Meeting Shrouded in Emotion
Arriving at Montgomery Street, I was greeted by an emotionally charged scene: a tearful professional woman and a consoling older man. His words, “We will find someone,” hung in the air as I approached. Quickly, I was whisked away into a building, with each elevator floor escalating my anticipation.
The Unveiling
The elevator doors opened to reveal the offices of a well-known company, a name I recognized but never expected to encounter in such a manner. This unexpected twist led me into an environment brimming with possibilities, marking the start of another unforeseen chapter in my career journey.
